Letter from the new member educator

Hello and welcome!

My name is Ava Gueck, and I am the 2024 New Member Experience Director at UF Kappa Kappa Gamma. I am beyond excited and honored to receive this role. Coming to a huge college from out of state, I had many emotions rushing through me: uncertainty, excitement, anticipation, and stress. Once I reached Kappa and found my people, all the feelings of uncertainty and stress were substituted with genuine comfort and happiness.

Building and strengthening relationships has always been a crucial aspect of my life. Friendships have the ability of turning one’s life around, offering kindness, joy, and, most importantly, support. The support system I’ve made here at Kappa is the cause of so much of my success at UF thus far. Without the amazing women I have met through Kappa, I can truly say I would not be the person I am today. 

As the New Member Experience Director, I cannot wait to welcome the new members to Kappa and help them discover the amazing benefits Kappa offers: Kappa is a place of love and comfort, a place where anyone can be themselves with zero judgements, a place that allows you to grow and flourish into the best version of yourself. I am thrilled to watch you thrive in your time at UF and at Kappa and am so blessed to be a part of your journey.
