Letter from the president

Hi, all!

My name is Anna Schafhauser, and I am beyond honored to serve as the President of the Epsilon Phi chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma. The University of Florida was a daunting place when I arrived four years ago from Minnesota, and Kappa was the first place I felt that everything in this crazy experience finally made sense. While I was always hesitant about sorority life, Kappa proved to be everything I wanted and more.

Kappa Kappa Gamma at the University of Florida is more than just the walls that make up our home on 13th Street. These walls have seen the best days, the worst days, and every moment in between. They’ve seen prospective new members turn to brand new initiates, laughs turn into happy tears, and seniors become notable alumni. Yet most importantly, they’ve seen love. This home knows what it means to reach out a hand to one another, united in something bigger than themselves, and truly show what it means to be a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma.

I owe my experience at the University of Florida to Kappa. As I look towards my second semester as President, I bring nothing but love and gratitude for this home and these women. Kappa has shaped the woman I was, the woman I want to be, and most of all, the woman I am now. I will forever cherish the friendships I’ve made and continue to grow in this organization.

To the girl who knows exactly what they want out of college or the one who has no idea what to expect: take a chance on Kappa. This home, these girls, and this experience is something I wish on every person who walks through our doors. Most importantly, I hope you feel the love Kappa has to give. If you have any questions about Panhellenic recruitment at the University of Florida, please reach out.

Loyally,

Anna Schafhauser
