Message from our President

Hi everyone!

My name is Rachel Leiter, and I am incredibly excited and honored to serve as the President of the Epsilon Phi chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma. Coming to the University of Florida from Chicago, the idea of college felt overwhelming–I was terrified to leave everything and everyone I knew to start fresh in a completely new place. But from the moment I first walked through Kappa’s doors, that fear quickly transformed into excitement and anticipation for the next four years.

As the youngest of three girls, I have always found comfort in friendships where I can build deep, meaningful connections, similar to the ones I share with my sisters at home. Joining Kappa has given me that and so much more. I now have more than 300 sisters, older and younger, who I know I can count on for anything. The women in Kappa have laughed with me, supported me, sat with me in my worst moments, and celebrated all of my successes. From late-night study sessions and sisterhood events to the lively Kappa lunches where laughter fills the room; our little house on 13th Street has truly seen it all. The house is a constant– but it’s the women inside, and the overwhelming love they bring, that make it a home.

My college experience would not be what it is without Kappa Kappa Gamma. Moving into my next semester as President, my greatest hope is to give back even a fraction of what this chapter has given me. Kappa has shaped me into who I am today, and I know it will continue to influence my life long after I walk across the stage at graduation.

To anyone searching for a home away from home, I encourage you to take a chance on Kappa. The love within this chapter is something that every woman who walks through our doors deserves to feel. Kappa is more than a sorority, it is a place where you can grow, be supported, and become the best version of yourself. If you have any questions about Panhellenic recruitment at the University of Florida, please reach out!

Loyally,

Rachel Leiter
